Adox has produced a number of similar, simple cameras during the 19650s and 1960s. They all looked very similar, had similar features and, very special, the model name was not placed on the outside but on the inside of the camera. The cameras, although fairly basic, always came with high quality Schneider-Kreuznach lenses. In this case three lenses with (L) Lanthan-Glass.
A nice detail is the exposure control indicator inside the view finder window, above the field of view frame. When this indicator shows red, the exposure won't be correct, usually because of low light levels. When the exposure indicator is green, all is fine and the depth of field would be sufficient to get sharp pictures without the need to focus correctly. When the indicator is yellow, you'd better focus correctly as the light level is sufficient for taking the picture but the aperture is pretty wide open so depth of field is limited. This is a pretty nifty feature not often seen in other cameras. |
