Yashica Lynx 5000e

Yashica Lynx 5000e Yashica was also one of the main range finder camera makers during the 1960s and of course there is the famous Yashica MAT TLR Series as well. This camera was produced in 1960 and has the very high quality 1.8 lens. The same camera, with a 1.4 lens was called Lynx 14 and was the more expensive model.

Typically missing is the name plate just below the range finder making it difficult to figure out the camera's model. The only model hint is the engraved "I C" ("1 C") in red under the Yashica name on the front plate so this camera is often, mistakenly, called "Yashica I C". What also often remains is the JCII sticker from the Japanese export authorities, maybe they used the better glue? :o)

This camera is big, heavy and sturdy. It may be operated in automatic mode or fully manual mode. Note that it won't work without batteries so before you test, make sure you have both PX640A batteries inserted in the compartment next to the view finder on the back.
